Follow the lane from Mangwon Station and a narrow market aisle opens up, with side-dish stalls, fruit sellers and snack counters on both sides. The chicken-gangjeong shops always have a queue out front. People shuffle past with a bag of chicken in one hand and a fritter or hotteok in the other. The cafes of Mangridan-gil are right next door for the rest of the afternoon.
