One block off the Susukino neon, the queue under a white noren tells you you've found Shingen. Inside there are about 13 counter seats, with more people waiting along the back wall. First time? Order the Shinshu (rich miso). A lid of lard keeps the soup hot to the last sip, and the springy yellow noodles drag plenty of it up with them. Most customers add the ¥450 fried rice, and they're right to.
