At the end of a narrow footpath stands a two-storey wooden house with a red tin roof under ivy. Built just after the war, it was rebuilt by hand and opened in 1996. Creaking floorboards, a wind-up wall clock, no two tables or chairs alike. The shop itself suggests 'Mori no Shizuku', a mocha-based dark roast, for your first cup; order it and the aroma drifts up from the ground-floor bar. In winter the wood stove is lit.
