Perissa is the island's longest beach, black sand running south for kilometres. The sand is finer than Kamari's, easier underfoot, and beach bars and sunbeds go on and on. The Mesa Vouno cliff towers over the north end and turns red at dusk. In the village, the blue-domed church of Timiou Stavrou stands right behind the beach. Keep walking south and it simply becomes Perivolos and then Agios Georgios beach.
