Address
On the Mesa Vouno ridge, about 360 m up; drive the switchback road from Kamari, park and walk 10–15 minutes

The ruins of an ancient city on top of Mesa Vouno, the rocky mountain between Kamari and Perissa. Dorian settlers founded it around the 9th century BC; most of what stands today is Hellenistic and Roman: temples, a theatre, the agora and house foundations. The ruins are interesting, but the setting steals the show. Walking along the ridge you look straight down on Kamari on one side and Perissa on the other. There's almost no shade, so go up in the morning.
