Address
Along the seafront promenade of Kamari village; the Mesa Vouno cliff closes the south end

Kamari shows the island's other face: a beach town on the east coast instead of a cliff village. The beach is black volcanic pebble and sand, which makes the water look especially clear and dark blue. A long promenade runs behind it, lined with tavernas, cafés and sunbeds, so it's easy to lose a whole day here. At the south end the Mesa Vouno mountain drops into the sea, with Ancient Thera on top. The airport is close, so planes occasionally come in low overhead.
