Opened in Gold Rush days and still counted among the city's oldest restaurants. The wooden counter, white-aproned waiters and curtained booths look much as they must have a century ago. Order the cioppino, a tomato broth loaded with crab and fish, or the sand dabs. Lunch here feels like eating inside a piece of old San Francisco.
