A square built from the old Ghirardelli chocolate factory, its huge GHIRARDELLI rooftop sign visible from the water. The ground-floor shop sells chocolate squares, bars and souvenirs like cable-car tins, and one side serves ice cream sundaes. The sundaes drown vanilla ice cream in hot fudge, caramel and whipped cream; one is big and sweet enough for two. Seasonal chocolates appear for Halloween and Christmas, which makes browsing fun.
