Rome's biggest central park lets you hire a rowboat on the lake or a bike for the pine-lined paths. At the western edge the Pincio terrace looks across Piazza del Popolo and the rooftops all the way to St. Peter's dome. Get there 30-45 minutes before sunset to claim a spot. It also slots easily around a museum booking.
