A Rocco Forte five-star on Via del Babuino, the street that runs from Piazza del Popolo toward the Spanish Steps. Behind the building a terraced garden climbs the Pincio hillside, with pines, orange trees and climbing roses on each level. The Stravinskij Bar at the foot of the garden also seats non-guests, so people drop in for a drink in the afternoon. The Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo are both a short walk, which makes it an easy first base in Rome.
