Each dim room holds a wax figure frozen mid-scene, from settlers stepping off their boat to a trial in the Reformation years. The faces were modelled on real people, which makes some of them a little too lifelike. You walk the loop with an audio guide in your ear and an hour disappears. At the end you can try on helmets and armour.
