The best-known winery in Gibbston Valley, heartland of Central Otago pinot noir. The classic visit is lunch overlooking the vines, then a tasting in the cave dug into the hillside. The chef grows vegetables and herbs in the winery's own garden. It's close to the Kawarau Bungy bridge, so plenty of people stop by after watching, or doing, the jump. If someone has to drive, only one of you tastes, or take a tour.
