At 98 metres it's a 15-minute climb, done. The Germans put Qingdao's first radio signal station up here, hence the name. Up top, the red mushroom-shaped lookout slowly turns, and as you go round you get the old town's packed red-tiled roofs, then Zhanqiao and the sea, then the new-town towers. Most of those red-roofs-and-blue-sea Qingdao photos are taken from this spot.
