Two halls are the whole point: the Theological and Philosophical Halls, ceilings covered in gilt-framed frescoes and walls lined floor to ceiling with leather-bound volumes. The catch is that a standard ticket stops you at a roped-off doorway, so you look in rather than walk through. The corridor between them holds a cabinet of curiosities, all stuffed animals and sea creatures. Opinion splits accordingly between 'as beautiful as the photos' and 'fifteen minutes and not worth the money'. Many visitors pair it with a beer at the monastery brewery next door.
