- Address
- Top of Petřín Hill, 3 minutes from the upper funicular station
Built for the 1891 Jubilee Exhibition as a 63-metre copy of the Eiffel Tower, it sits at the top of a hill of orchards and rose gardens. The funicular from Újezd, out of service from autumn 2024, came back with new cars on 22 September 2026 and gets you up in a few minutes. Spiral stairs wind up the tower, and from the top you turn a full circle: the castle to the left, the spires of the Old Town across the river, Vyšehrad far to the right. Most people walk down afterwards, either through the rose garden to Strahov Monastery or along the woodland paths back to Újezd.
