Built under French colonial rule, it held prisoners of war during the Vietnam War. Inside the double barbed-wire fence and watchtowers are barracks, cells and life-size figures re-enacting the torture that went on here. The scenes are graphic, so prepare children beforehand. A memorial and exhibition hall across the road complete the visit.
