Pastel buildings modelled on an Italian coastal village climb the hill in tiers, with a clock tower, arches and stairways down every lane. By day it feels like a film set, quiet apart from people taking photos. The real draw is Kiss Bridge at sunset: two walkways run out over the sea and stop just short of each other, and everyone wants the shot of the sun sinking through the gap. After dark the square lights up and the evening shows and fireworks start.
