Cross the headland from Kata Beach and you reach a rock-bound cove about 850 metres long, with the brightest water near the rocks at each end. A resort and rows of local sunbeds take up much of the sand, but it is far calmer than Kata. In the dry season people snorkel by the southern boulders; in the rainy season surfers take over. Sunbeds are for rent.
