On weekend evenings a huge lot off Thepprasit Road fills with hundreds of stalls. Food rows of oyster omelette, skewers, grilled seafood and smoothies mix with elephant-pants and souvenir rows, so dinner and shopping happen in one go. Prices undercut the downtown markets, so plenty of Thai families come too. Weekdays shrink to a fraction; go Friday to Sunday.
