From the foot of the hill you can see a golden Buddha half-showing above the trees. Climb the staircase flanked by seven-headed naga serpents and you arrive at the huge seated figure, thick with incense smoke and the clang of bells. Around it stand smaller Buddhas in the pose for each day of the week, and Thai visitors pray at the one for the day they were born. Entry is free, and from the edges of the terrace you look out over Jomtien and the city. It's a few minutes' drive from the viewpoint, so the two pair easily.
