Address
Old railway viaduct along Avenue Daumesnil, 12th arr.; climb by stairs near the Bastille end

A railway viaduct, long out of service, now carries flower beds and rose arbours. It is often called the elder sibling of New York's High Line. Beneath the arches runs the Viaduc des Arts craft-shop street, while up top you walk at third-floor height above Avenue Daumesnil. Further east the path drops into cuttings and tree-lined stretches toward Bois de Vincennes. A relaxed walk from Bastille takes an hour or so.
