Musée Jacquemart-André

Renaissance art in a banker's mansion

Hours
Daily 10:00–18:00 (late Friday during temporary shows); last entry 30 minutes before closing
Tickets
Adults about €18 (permanent collection + temporary show)
Address
158 Boulevard Haussmann, 8th arr.; about a 10-minute walk northeast of the Arc de Triomphe

A 19th-century banker and his wife lived here, and the house is now the museum. You walk through dining room, salons and a winter garden, meeting Botticelli, Uccello and Rembrandt among the furniture. The marble double staircase in the entrance hall is the showpiece. If the Louvre has worn you out, this is a calm hour or two, with lunch in the old dining room café. During temporary shows it stays open late on Fridays.
