Built for the 1900 Exposition Universelle, this palace spreads painting, sculpture and decorative arts across generous galleries. Works from Delacroix and Courbet through the period around Impressionism can be seen at a gentler pace than Paris’s largest museums. Afterwards, step into the arcaded courtyard garden for a pause.
