Go down the entrance stairs and the air turns damp and cool. Thousands of stalactites hang from the ceiling like icicles, and terraced limestone pools step down across the floor. After about 890 metres of open cave you surface into Kingdom Village, a recreated old Ryukyu town of red-tiled houses with glass-blowing and dyeing workshops, and a square where the drum-and-dance Super Eisa show plays. A solid rainy-day option.
