A worn one-storey building facing Toguchi port in Motobu, on the road to Churaumi Aquarium. Open since 1905, it still boils noodles over firewood and kneads them with wood ash. The broth leans hard on bonito, the noodles are thick and rustic, and the whole bowl tastes of a very old kitchen. The menu is short: soba large or small, and juushii. A queue forms before noon, so stop by early on the way to the aquarium.
