A corner shop in the heart of the old town. Order socca, pissaladière, stuffed vegetables or pan bagnat at one window, grab drinks at another, then sit anywhere on the long wooden benches outside. You can just point at the photo menu. Opinions split between 'great intro to Nice snacks' and 'tourist fare', but it's cheap and open late, so it's an easy stop on a walk.
