A narrow lane suddenly opens onto a Baroque staircase. The 17th-century noble house is kept as a museum, with painted ceilings, Flemish tapestries and old instruments in every room. Upstairs, an 18th-century pharmacy survives complete with jars and bottles. The entry fee is low and the rooms are quiet, right in the middle of the old town.
