The very first Shake Shack, which began in 2004 as a small stand in the park. There's still no building: you order at the kiosk, wait for the buzzer and eat at outdoor tables under the trees. Some say the burger tastes much like the branches elsewhere; people come for eating in the park with the Flatiron Building in view. At night the trees are lit and the mood changes.
