A bakery that opened on Bleecker Street in the West Village in 1996 and found fame on 'Sex and the City'. Many queue less for the cupcakes than for the banana pudding: vanilla pudding layered with fresh banana and vanilla wafers, eaten with a spoon and thick, almost half cream. It's very sweet, and plenty of people pair it with an iced Americano. There are branches like Rockefeller Center, but the original comes with the charm of the Village streets.
