Chelsea Market is at 75 Ninth Avenue (15th–16th Streets); the High Line runs from Gansevoort Street north to 34th Street at Hudson Yards

This was a 1930s freight railway on stilts, now a park three storeys up where you walk between rusty rails and wild grasses with Chelsea's apartment windows at your elbow. It runs about 2.3 km from Gansevoort Street up to Hudson Yards. Drop down near 16th Street into Chelsea Market, a converted biscuit factory where a brick-and-girder corridor is lined with lobster counters, taco stands and beef noodle shops. At the north end of the High Line stands the Vessel, a honeycomb of staircases.
