Address
Right by Odeonsplatz, across from the Residenz

The yellow walls on the corner of Odeonsplatz are impossible to miss, topped by twin towers and a big dome. It was built in the 17th century in an imported Italian style, so it feels more southern than the rest of Munich. Inside, the colour switches off: white stucco runs across every surface, and light pours in under the central dome. Entry is free. A public tower climb is not confirmed, so for a view go to the Frauenkirche or the town hall tower instead.
