A long-established Bavarian house wedged right against the State Opera. Downstairs is wood panelling and a steady roar; upstairs the windows and terrace look out over the square in front of the theatre. The kitchen sends out roast pork in dark-beer sauce, schnitzel and Leberkäs, with a separate asparagus menu in spring. It fills up around curtain time, so book for dinner.
