Among grey factory sheds, one building is clad in 24-carat gold leaf and flashes in the sun. That 'Haunted House' holds works by Louise Bourgeois and Robert Gober. The other halls change with each exhibition, and the white concrete Torre rises to a restaurant on top. By the entrance, Bar Luce was designed by film director Wes Anderson as a 1950s–60s Milanese café, pinball machines and pastel chairs included; plenty of people come just for a coffee there.
