Opened in 1932, it still wears its art deco front on one side of the Centrale station square. After a full renovation it now runs under Marriott's Luxury Collection. The rooftop terrace bar looks straight at the station's huge stone roofline, and there's a Shiseido spa of more than 1,000 sq m. If your plans involve day trips to Como or trains to Venice and Florence, being at the station is the whole point.
