A wide promenade runs along the harbour, with yachts in the foreground and the CBD skyline behind them. Keep walking and you reach the Webb Bridge, a twisting steel footbridge that photographs best once its lights come on at night. The nearby Melbourne Star wheel started carrying passengers again on 15 October 2026 after about five years shut. You can skip the ride and just walk; events sometimes take over the Esplanade on weekends.
