A no-frills hotel at the edge of Docklands, about five minutes' walk from Southern Cross, where the SkyBus from the airport stops. Guests have been calling it well placed and fairly priced for years, and one stayed on 31 December to catch the New Year fireworks. Rooms have a microwave and fridge, handy for supermarket dinners. The catch: rooms are small and there are no disposable toiletries like toothbrushes. Weekday lows dropped to AUD 165–171, but 11 November spiked to AUD 602.
