A single row of one-door timber huts stands on the sand, and no two are alike: one painted as the Australian flag, one in stripes, one with a deckchair mural. They've been changing sheds for over a century and are still privately owned, so most are locked. Take your photos, then walk south to the Green Point rise, where the city skyline appears across the bay above the hut roofs. It's an easy half-day by train.
