You warm up in a steam room, get coated in black olive soap (savon beldi), then scrubbed hard with a rough kessa mitt. Two routes: the neighbourhood public hammam, cheap and no-frills, or a spa hammam with private rooms, clay wraps and argan-oil massage. First-timers usually find the spa easier.
