Museum entrance at Calle San Buenaventura 1, 10 minutes south of the Royal Palace

Your eyes go straight up. The round dome is the widest in Madrid, over 30 metres across. Each side chapel has paintings, and one holds Goya's Saint Bernardino of Siena preaching. A neoclassical building from the 1700s, plain outside and huge within. A natural stop on the walk from the Royal Palace down towards La Latina.
