A one-block walk from Puerta del Sol, with a crowd spilling out the door. It opened in 1860 and still lives on two things made from salt cod. You order a fried slab (tajada) and a croqueta at the counter, eat standing up, and wash it down with a caña. The dining room behind is separate; the line is always for the bar.
