A Cuban bakery started by Rosa Porto, who baked cakes at home after arriving from Cuba. The Glendale shop has a line at the counter from opening. The crisp cream-cheese roll and the potato ball, mashed potato around seasoned beef, fried, are the signatures, and most items cost $1-3, so it's easy to grab a mix. There are separate lines for pastries and for the café (sandwiches and drinks).
