A low building on the corner of Sunset, with every front table taken by someone with a laptop or a dog leash. The Chicago roaster opened here as one of its early LA shops, and baristas make drinks one at a time at the bar. The daily batch brew is the easy way to taste the beans, and the lattes come out round and milky. It makes a fine starting point for a walk around Silver Lake.
