Al Cassell opened his burger shop in 1948; today it lives on the ground floor of Koreatown's historic Hotel Normandie. They still grind the beef daily with the original grinder and cook patties on his old crossfire broiler. Checkerboard floors and counter stools give it a '50s diner look that photographs well. It's walkable from Koreatown hotels.
