The British steakhouse that comes up whenever Londoners say 'proper steak'. The Seven Dials branch sits under the 19th-century Watney Combe brewery, dark and snug under brick vaults. Dry-aged British beef goes over charcoal, and the big sharing cuts are priced per 100 g. Lunch and early-evening set menus (two courses £26) make it less scary than it sounds.
