The old fruit-and-veg market hall now holds shops and cafés under a glass roof, and the Apple Market in the middle sells handmade jewellery, prints and souvenirs. In front of St Paul's Church on the west side, jugglers and magicians perform all day; squeeze into the circle and tip at the end. The surrounding streets are full of theatres, so it's the natural stop before an evening musical. From November, big Christmas decorations hang inside the market hall.
