Half of Lisbon's custard-tart top two, alongside Belém. Through the glass you watch dough pressed into tins and trays coming out of the oven nonstop. The custard is creamier than Belém's and the pastry more buttery, people say. It's standing room at a bar only, so it's one tart, one coffee, and off you go. Even after 10pm the counter is full of warm tarts, perfect on the walk home.
