The eel house that turns up in almost every guide to Arashiyama. Domestic eel arrives daily, the shop tells you where that day's fish came from, and grilling starts to match your booking, so every seat is reserved. The usual order is unaju (¥3,900 before tax) with liver soup or red miso; sets add carp sashimi and uzaku, eel with vinegared cucumber.
