Obanzai is Kyoto home cooking built on seasonal vegetables, and Gyatei serves a tray of a dozen or so as one set. There's essentially one menu, and it changes with the seasons. The autumn 2026 tray held Kyoto rice, fresh yuba with a sesame-cheese sauce, rolled omelette, sweet Kyoto-style simmered autumn vegetables and salmon and tuna sashimi (Oct 2026 review).
