The Kyoto Station café of Nakamura Tokichi, an old Uji tea house, on the restaurant floor of JR Kyoto Isetan, handy before a train. The stars are the Maruto parfait in matcha or hojicha (¥2,181) and wobbly fresh green-tea jelly topped with soft-serve (¥1,800). Desserts come with a cold-brew tea blend and a card explaining how the flavour shifts as it steeps (Sept 2026 review).
