After dark Jalan Alor disappears under plastic tables, and the thickest plume of smoke usually comes from Wong Ah Wah. Honey-glazed chicken wings off the charcoal grill are the signature, and the menu runs on through satay, stir-fries and seafood. Half the fun is a street-side seat, a cold beer and the crowd drifting past. It is a tourist street, so prices sit above neighbourhood places, and food slows down when it's packed.
